Mr. Bruce Backensto was ordained and installed 31 May 1972
by the Midwest Presbytery as Pastor of the Sterling, KS RPC.
He served as church planter of the Springs Reformed Fellowship in Colorado Spring, CO and was installed as the first Pastor in 1982. In August 1989 he was installed as Pastor of the Ridgefield Park, NJ RPC and served their until being installed Pastor of the Geneva RPC in Beaver Falls, PA in September 1994. The Geneva congregation merged with the First Beaver Falls RPC in Patterson Township in November 2004 and began worshiping in the Patterson Township location July 2005. He Co-Pastored with Keith Black until Pastor Black retired in 2008. Pastor Backensto retired 31 May 2014 and continues a member with his wife, Kim, of the First RPC of BF.
