God's Glory Resting On The Tabernacle

As we come to the end of the book of Exodus, after we hear how Moses examined every piece, after God told him exactly how to set it up, now we hear that Moses did what the Lord commanded. After almost every phrase in this passage, it is emphasized as the Lord commanded. The Lord is the one dictating how every piece goes and Moses, representing the law, is in perfect alignment with God. Once everything is done as the Lord commanded, then His glory filled the tabernacle. The camp also obeyed the commandment of the Lord. They would move when the Lord commanded it and they would stay when the Lord's presence did not move. The presence of God remained at the tabernacle throughout their wandering in the wilderness for the next thirty nine years.
