The Death Eater

In Isaiah 25:1-12, we witness a hymn of praise recounting
3 actions of God and the response of His people.

I. God acts, and His people exalt Him and praise His
name (v. 1a).
A. For His wonderful works (v. 1b).
B. For He overcomes ruthless cities (vs. 2-3).
C. For He is a stronghold and fortress to those
in need (vs. 4-5).

II. God speaks, and His people live in His blessing.
A. For He is the Great Feast Giver (v. 6).
B. For He is the Great Death Eater (vs. 7-8).
III. God saves, and His people rejoice.
A. He saves those who wait on their God
(vs. 10-11a).
B. He destroys those who trust in their
pompous pride (vs. 10b-12).
