Morning Devotion 12-11-17

The Foundation of God Standeth Sure

Many have laid their foundations upon the sinking sand
They believe their salvation and their redemption rests within their hands
But scripture tell us clearly for God’s elect
The foundation they are resting on God did select

This foundation is not made with hands or hewn stone
This foundation is bought by the precious blood of Christ and attones
For all of His people and those Christ most assuredly owns

This foundation is sure
And God cannot His Son forsake
Our ransom has been paid
We can this promise take

That the foundation of God standeth sure
And it will last forever
The winds, rains and storms cannot
From our Savior sever

For we are fastened securely by His firm decree and blood
Paid for and anchored in His eternal love
Chosen before creation
Just waiting to be transported to heaven above!
