5. Promises to Abraham Impacted + PDF teacher's notes

This is the third in a short series on the overview of the Bible. Today's lesson focuses on the impact that the ultimate fulfillment of the promises to Abraham had on its initial fulfillments.

Historically, the church has believed those initial fulfillments to be closed chapters with no relevance for today. The destruction of the temple in A.D. 70, along with the dispersion of unbelieving Judaism, was seen as God's final hand of judgment in divorcing himself from physical Israel as a special geopolitical nation (Re 2:9).
