Rebuilding the Temple of Jerusalem

The prophet Haggai preached a message to the Jews who returned from Babylon, to Jerusalem, led by Zerubbabel. After a few years they settled in the city but hadn't rebuilt the temple. The main subject is an encouragement to the Jews to rebuild the Temple of the Lord. Haggai was fruitful in his mission and he saw to the commitment of the people to complete this work, dedicating the temple to the Lord in a few years after his exhortation.
