The Vital Importance of Corporate Prayer

For the past several weeks, we have been considering the topic of personal worship.

In this message, we will deal with the the vital importance of corporate prayer.

We must never forget that Christ is the Head of the Church as He has ultimate authority over us as a congregation.

We must be sure that as a church we are subject to Christ is everything........

ONE WAY TO ACKNOWLEDGE OUR SUBMISSION TO CHRIST AS HEAD OF THE CHURCH IS BY CONSTANT AND FAITHFUL BIBLICAL PRAYING......
One of our distinctives as Reformed Baptists is that we believe in the sovereignty of God...

Among other things.....this means that we firmly believe that nothing comes to pass in time......except that which God has sovereignly purposed or decreed .

ALL THAT HAPPENS IN TIME.........WAS DECREED OF GOD.

We could state it differently........

ALL THAT GOD HAS DECREED....SHALL COME TO PASS.

Nothing will ever frustrate the purpose of God.

Isa 46:9 'Remember the former things long past, For I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is no one like Me,
Isa 46:10 Declaring the end from the beginning And from ancient times things which have not been done, Saying, 'My purpose will be established, And I will accomplish all My good pleasure';

THE SAME BIBLE THAT TEACHES THESE TRUTHS.....ALSO TEACH THAT THE PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE OF GOD ARE AN INTRICATE PART OF THE DIVINE PURPOSE ......AND OF THE CARRYING OUT OF THAT PURPOSE.
