Four Steps To Vain Imaginations
Series Worldview Conflict Explained
Social unrest and wars among nations are inevitable because humanity at large is not at peace with God. Psalm 2:2 and 3, explain "The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying, Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us." The reason heathen are enraged is because they do not like the way God does things.
The rationalizing of rebellion is predictable. Romans 1: 21-23 explains four steps lead to vain imaginations. People dismiss God. People do not glory or thank God. People disconnect from God. People substitute the truth of God with their own inventions.
These human derived explanations are human imaginations. So, they are called, collectively, humanism.
The correct answers to four fundamental questions about life, why we are here, how we got here, what we should be doing here, and where we will end up, give us orientation in life. The answers tell us how to think about ourselves, whether we are important in the history of the world, and whether we need to do something important while we are alive.
