Two kings

Christ's kingdom is not of this world, and Christ's kingship is not like this world's. The contrast could barely be more stark as he stands before Herod: Herod's curiosity and Christ's confidence, Herod's cruelty and Christ's compassion, Herod's capriciousness and Christ's calmness. How thankful we ought to be that we have such a King as Christ is over such a kingdom as Christ's is!
