To show us that Jesus is the One pointed to by the Old Testament, that He is the promised Messiah, Son of Abraham, Son of David, that He fulfills the OT prophets or that it is in Him that those prophecies will be fulfilled. To embrace Jesus Christ by faith is to become a true Israelite.
