I - Irresistible Grace

You can see here how man is a slave to sin. He is not his own master but is held by the entanglement of his own sinful nature to hate God, hate truth, hate any attempt to drag him out of his enjoyment of his sinful environment.

So, this hostility within man has to be overcome if anyone is ever to turn to God for salvation.
The answer is in the doctrine of God’s operation of efficacious grace – grace that actually works to save the soul from its own self destruction. God does not merely give man an ultimatum, an offer or a chance to save himself. God does the saving from beginning to end.
So, what does God do? He sends His Spirit into the heart of man, whom He will save, to do the miracle of effectual calling, conversion, new birth new creation, resurrection in the soul.
