Jonah - A Type of the Sinner

God gave Jonah a simple command.
Jose disobeyed and tryed to flee from the presence of the Lord.
God has given us all a two-fold commandment.
Repent.
Trust in the Lord Jesus.
Acts 17:30-31 (KJV)30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: 31 Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.

1 John 3:23 (KJV) And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.

As always, Brother Pete is asking you if you have taken your place as a lost, hell deserving sinner at the feet of the Lord Jesus Christ or or you trying to flee the presence of the Lord God of Heaven.
God's sovereign election doesn't relieve the individual from the responsibility of obeying the commandments of God. Election doesn't save you, the Lord Jesus saves you. Are you one of the Elect? Get in the Word of God and find out.
