A Light Has Dawned

The rejection of Jesus in Nazareth and his withdrawal to Galilee brings about the fulfilment of Isaiah's words, "the people dwelling in darkness have seen a great light." God doesn't wait for us to come to him, or even to meet him halfway. He comes to us, even to the deepest and darkest places of our lives, in order to shine the light of his glory and grace. He comes to us with saving grace and calls us to himself saying, "Follow me," – follow me and see the kingdom of heaven at work here on earth. Surely this is an offer too good to refuse.
