That I May Know Him

In Philippians 3:10, Paul moves from justification to sanctification. While we come to "know" Christ as the Lord who justified us with His righteousness, we are progressively transformed (sanctified) as we grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. Paul longed to know the whole Christ, to know Him in the power of His resurrection by which we able to walk in newness of life and to know Him in the fellowship of His sufferings as we identify with our Savior through suffering for His sake.
