A Solemn Warning

Hebrews 6:4-6 is one of those passages that SEEM to indicate a saved person can lose his salvation. This sermon analyzes the five phrases of verses 4-5 to show that the people described here never had true faith. The people described here are not those who have fallen away from the possession of faith but are those who have fallen away from the outward profession of faith. There is a big difference between profession of faith and possession of faith. People who do not truly possess saving faith can and do fall away from the outward profession of faith. Verse 6 has a solemn warning for such people.
