Intro to 1 Peter, Part 2

Pastor Jeff Massey continues his introduction to the book of 1 Peter, focusing on Peter’s intended audience. Pastor Massey emphasizes that while the book of 1 Peter was written to Gentile Christians in Peter’s day, Peter’s portrayal of God’s people as elect pilgrims or strangers on earth who are dispersed by God for a purpose and who are assured of God’s unchanging love for them is instructive for us today as well. We have great reasons to conduct Christian pilgrimage with joy and with the steadfast assurance that grace and peace will be multiplied to us through Christ.
