Why We Can Trust God Part 28 - God's Power
Series Trusting God
When we are overwhelmed with the difficulties of life, it often appears that He is not in control or His control is not taking things in a direction that we like or are comfortable living under. Since God intends that we walk by faith and not by sight we must know just Whom we are trusting in. Of primary importance is our understanding of His perfect character. Here we are looking at God’s awesome faithfulness which is unchanging and unending. We live in the midst of the wreckage of man’s ongoing unfaithfulness so it is inexpressibly wonderful to know and trust our perfectly faithful God for all things. He is always faithful to His own perfect character and to every promise He makes. Here we look at the omnipotence of God or His infinite power. We rejoice that He has the power to accomplish all of His perfect will and plan down to the most minute detail. As we study Scripture, it is thrilling to see how He delights in turning the impossible into reality by His own infinite power. This should incite us to prayer and trust no matter how impossible our circumstances appear to be to our finite minds!
