Off the Path -- and into Doubt and Despair

330

Christian and Hopeful had bravely withstood the temptations of filthy lucre, and now enter a time of peace.

The path was smooth and the way was easy. For a time, it appeared their way to the Celestial City would be without further negative incident.

But, the path began to harden, and become rocky. The adjoining path, on the other side of the wall seemed much easier to walk on -- and it was -- until it lead them OUT OF THE WAY and into great danger.

This lesson focuses on the importance of the means of grace -- even during good times -- lest doubt and despair overtake us.
