Victory at the Cross

In the overview of the final main section of the chapter, we begin to grasp the power of the Apostle's argument on the subject of assurance of salvation. The whole chapter has been built on the premise that God is for His people. That being the case, there is no way in which any of God's people can ever be successfully challenged. They can never be lost. Their assurance is not resting on anything they have done or can do but on the work of Christ on the cross.
