Christ's Great Commission to the Church (from Matthew)

37

Matthew closes his Gospel with Christ's Great Commission given to the Church. The Apostles who receive the Commission represent the Church, and it is then through the local churches that the Commission has been and is to be carried out: making disciples from all nations and of all peoples by the Word and Spirit by going, baptizing, and teaching them; planting churches to continue the work and Commission as they go.
