Midweek Prayer Meeting Devotional from the Psalms.

I. How is Christ expressed in the text?

v9, ESV - We have thought on your steadfast love, O God, in the midst of your temple.

v9, KJV - We have thought of thy lovingkindness, O God, in the midst of thy temple.

"We have..."

Jesus includes the Father and the Spirit when He speaks... Jn 5:20

"...thought..."

of thinking (considering) the chesed, the steadfast love, loving kindness, mercy of God. Psa 26:3

"...in the midst of thy temple."

Jn 2:19-21

II. How does this apply to us?

1. By Sovereign Grace...

• we are included in the fellowship of these considerations. Jn 17:21

2. By the mercies of God... meditations on the cross. Rom 12:1

3. When we commune with Christ, and especially as we gather...We are the temple of the Holy Spirit. 1 Cor 6:19
