What is Reformed Theology/Calvinism 7: Defending Limited Atonement ("all" & "world")

Who did Jesus Christ die to save? What was the scope of the atonement? What was God's intent in the atonement? If we hold to a limited atonement then how do we understand the texts in the Bible that speak about Christ dying for "all" men or for the "whole world"? What do people mean when they say Christ died for all men without distinction but not all men without exception? Do those that teach a universal atonement still limit its power? Was Christ's work of atonement objective? Did Jesus objectively save believers or only potentially save believers?
