254) Why Intercession? - James 5:15-16

Have you ever wondered what the point of intercession is? Why does God want you to pray for someone else? God knows what that person needs better than you do—why doesn't God just deal with that person directly? If that person is praying for his own needs, is God more likely to answer his prayer if you are also asking for it? And if so, why?
