The Faithfulness of God

In the not so distant past, the expression "a man of his word" or "bond" described someone who could be trusted, who was faithful to his word.

You don't hear that expression that much nowadays. It's more than likely because distrust and unfaithfulness have been normalised in these degenerate days.

Unlike us, God's unchanging attribute of faithfulness is essential to who He is. Far be it from the Lord that He would act contrary to His divine nature.

Jesus Christ's Words will never fail you. His promises are sure.

Three points to consider:

1. God's common faithfulness to all.

2. The Lord's faithfulness to forgive us our sins upon true heartfelt repentance.

3. The Lord's faithfulness to His Word and promises.
