Will God Come Through?

125 ( 103 | 22 )

When we look at our culture and how it's drifting away from God, we can't help but ask, 'will God come through?' As fear and despair grip our hearts when we think of the lives that we have lost through the pandemic, we ask, 'will God come through?'

In Lamentations 3, Jeremiah highlights his despair at a personal level. But as he remembers God's great faithfulness, he moves from despair to hope. Jeremiah remembers who God is and what He has in the past. He knows that God is faithful. He remembers that God is good. His perspective on God changes the perspective of his circumstances. Instead of giving up, he responds in praise and trust. He's not sure of how God will come through, but he trusts that He will.

Here is a response that we can follow as well. When our hearts are broken over tragedy, evil, and sin in the world, we need to bring our grief, sorrow, and fear before the Lord. We need to cry out to God for help. We need to trust in God's goodness and wait because He is faithful!
