Solid Hope In A Tsunami World

Has the earthquake & tsunami made you feel an unnatural sense of being disconnected from the very world in which we live? This world is slated for destruction in Final Judgment & its dissolution will be evident in the time leading up to the end. But we are made to dwell on the earth. How can we retain a sense of connectedness to creation when our bodies & creation itself must undergo a process of decay? The answer is in our union with the risen Lord Jesus, who, as the last Adam, is guaranteed to inherit a new creation: a new heaven & earth. Our salvation is genuinely physical: a bodily resurrection & eternity in a new cosmos. As we come to the Lord's Table, we have participation in the body & blood of Jesus - a very physical, solid hope, in the midst of a very fragile world.
