Abraham's Sacrifice of Faith

The Lord vindicates Abraham's faith, verifying that Abraham has proven his covenant fidelity to God by not withholding his beloved son. This marks an advance in the intimacy known between Abraham & the Lord. Abraham shows himself to be the friend of God. What sort of friend are you to the Lord? We often think in terms of having Jesus as our friend - but what does He think of your friendship? We also see that Abraham demonstrated his allegiance to the Lord by sacrificing what was precious to him. What have you sacrificed in order to be more intimate with the Lord? What in your life would cause the Lord to say, 'Now I know that you fear Me'?
