Gracious Breaking of the Wicked

Genesis 38 is one of the most sorted passages of Scripture. There are sections of it that are difficult to read. However, all Scripture is profitable. This story of Judah serves as a comparison and contrast to Joseph. Judah is a wicked man. God uses the circumstances of him fathering children through Tamar to help him see his lack of righteousness and change him into the leader of Jacob's sons. It was God's grace through circumstances that broke and changed this man.
