The Prince of Peace divides

In the light of all he has just said, distinguishing between the watchful and faithful servants and the careless and foolish servants, between those who will receive his blessing and those who will suffer his wrath, the Lord Christ presses home the significance of living for the world to come: he speaks of the coming fire of judgment, identifies his painful wait until he accomplishes salvation, and then emphasises that it is one's relation to him that divides the world now and at the last great day.
