WSC Q33: Justification

107 ( 93 | 14 )

Q. 33 What is justification?

A. Justification is an act of God's free grace, wherein He pardoneth all our sins, and accepteth us as righteous in His sight, only for the righteousness of Christ imputed to us, and received by faith alone.

It is so important to us that when we are not accepted, we react. Sometimes you might react by doing things to try to become accepted. And if that fails, you might get angry with those who reject you. You might despair and become discouraged and depressed. You do all this because you want to be justified—you want people to think you are okay. But more than anything we need to be justified by God!
