08-What of Scripture?

As part of my epigraph, I chose these excellent words of
Evans:
Elders must lead by teaching according to the clear principles
of the word [of God] (for Christ rules his church through his
word). They must give sufficient scriptural arguments, fair
reasoning and proper examples for [any] suggested change.1
