The vile dinner party

This first chapter in the book of Esther serves as the introduction to the rest of the book perfectly. From here we learn how it was possible for a Jewish girl to become queen of Persia. We are introduced to the king who while he has the might he doesn't think much through. As a result of his efforts to impress those around him this vile dinner party was thrown and led to trouble. It went on for half a year and the last seven days of the party was when things quickly began to fall apart for him because of what he tried to do to Queen Vashti.
