Enlisted by Christ to Serve Through His Church

The Apostles taught that Christ Jesus has led a train of captives and has graciously made provision through His church distributed throughout the earth. What if Christ’s answer to the cry of our culture’s anxiety, fear, and restlessness was the gift of all the benefits communicated to us as His people on the LORD’s Day through Word and Sacrament in the midst of his gathered people? Why would outsourcing obedience be in line with our world’s habits but not to their benefit or ours?
