Encouragement for God's Workers

When Christians stay grounded in Scripture, we grow closer to God and to one another. Sadly, the opposite is also true: “... shun profane and idle babblings, for they will increase to more ungodliness.” 2 Timothy 2:16(NKJV) False doctrine leads people away from God, and destroys true fellowship among Christians. That’s why the Apostle Paul warned Timothy to give no audience to empty or spurious teaching, because the damage would be profound. Lest we be discouraged, we can trust that God knows the hearts of those who truly belong to Him.
