- A RIGHT ATTITUDE TO CHRISTIAN SUFFERING
- if our attitude to it is not right there’s little hope of our actions being right!
- a right attitude begins with knowing God’s truth! - as given in Scripture!
- SUFFERING IS NOT MISPLACED IN A CHRISTIAN LIFE – 4:12-16
(a) it should not be a surprise – v.12
- “fiery trial” – what is meant?
- “as though…strange”
- “but rejoice”
(b) it should be a reason for rejoicing! – v.13 - “share Christ’s sufferings”
- “the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you”
- “that you may also rejoice and be glad when his glory is revealed”
