Judah Picturing Christ Our Surety

Judah had pledged to his father, Jacob, that he would be surety for his brother, Benjamin. In other words Judah would take full responsibility for seeing to it that Benjamin returned safely home. In similar fashion, Christ is our Surety (Heb. 7:22). This means that Christ takes to Himself the responsibility for seeing His people safely through to heaven. In this study we note some comparisons and contrasts between Judah as a Surety and Christ as our Surety.
