Joshua Or Jesus?

In Hebrews 4:3-11, the first and last verse are bookends to a point that the author makes. The point is that as God rested permanently from the work of creating the universe on the first Sabbath, there is also a rest for Christians. This rest is the freedom we have in Christ, as we rest in His finished work. We are not to return to an attempt to do works of self-justification.
