Worship - Its Character Pt 1 [Primarily by word]

The God in heaven lays great importance upon the worship of His rational creatures. The Father seeketh 'true' worshippers to worship Him, John 4:23.

Revelation chs 4&5 will bring before us one particular aspect of the character of our worship.

What is the character of true/acceptable worship? This term 'true' can stand in contrast to that which is 'defective' in character. We don't want to worship God in a defective way. We want to worship Him on His day and we want to worship Him in a fashion that pleases Him and is acceptable to Him.

It is evident from Genesis ch 4 that there is a way of worshipping God that is acceptable and a way that is not. Cain and Abel came two totally different ways.
