Deep Teaching On Adam & Eve. This is the stuff you're not supposed to hear

Many Christian leaders and pastors today believe that you should not be taught these kind of deep things. They'll tell you that you should be content with the surface of the Bible, and you should leave this deep stuff to the scholars. Our pastor's response to this is to teach it anyway, simply because he doesn't want to have to answer to God for not doing it. He'll have enough to answer for without adding that to the list. But the funny part about all this is, the Baptist preachers here in Anchorage (who are all wonderful men of God by the way) have all asked for access to his material. I suspect they want it so they can slip some of this stuff into their sermons so they'll sound impressive to their respective congregations... but hey, if that's what they're doing, that's great!

Thank you all who have sent pastor letters and e-mails and to those of you who have called our pastor. Your encouragement and questions are appreciated more than you know. We're a struggling little church and our pastor is bi-vocational and as a member of this little congregation I would like to personally thank you for encouraging our pastor. You see, you're helping us to trick him into staying on as our pastor (but let's just keep that a secret, OK?).
