The Coming of the Gospel

We see here the source of the Gospel -- God's sovereign grace. Secondly, we see how Paul, Silas, and Timothy could be so encouraged by the results of their preaching and teaching. They saw God's Spirit at work through that teaching and preaching, and they saw that work in the Thessalonians themselves. That encouragement they are now passing along to the church there in Thessalonica.
