The Peace of God

Many people think this idea is only in the New Testament, but God speaks to His people through Isaiah about the source of real peace: It's through trust in the saving work of Jesus.

Consequently, the redeemed must and shall rid themselves of all idols -- all things that are more important to us than fellowship with the Triune God.

As they live in communion with God in Jesus, the redeemed find that they have peace outwardly, as well, as God uses His people to bring other sinners to life in and through Jesus.
