Fruit, Faith: It's about a Trustworthy God

Faith is a fruit of the Holy Spirit.

The faith by which a person comes to the Lord Jesus Christ never takes place apart from the winsome work of the Holy Spirit.

There is a special gift of faith that the Holy Spirit imparts to believers at special times for special things. This is mentioned in 1 Corinthians 12:9, and examples of it abound in Hebrews 11.

The Holy Spirit increases faith in the heart of the believer particularly through trials, as in 1 Peter 1:6-7 and Romans 5:3-5. As the believer learns to trust God in the difficulties of life, his faith is refined.

As faith develops within the heart of the believer, so does a commitment to be faithful to God, following the principles of Scripture and leaving the results to God.
