In Colossians 3:19 Paul teaches on family relationships by giving instructions to husbands. Ephesians 5:25-33 is Paul's dissertation on "Husbands, love your wives and do not be harsh with them." Specifically, husbands must love their wives with a sacrificial love, a purifying love, an intimate love, a nourishing love, and a permanent love; and they must not be harsh with their wives.
