Psalm 42:1-3

Examing Psalm 42:1-3, we find David longing after God. Though he longs for God as the Old Testament saints did, wanting to come to God in His tabernacle, yet David expresses this in a very powerful and personal way. But we also find this to be in a situation of great distress accompanied by tears shed throughout the whole day. David is sorrowing as we often sorrow, and he gives us the example to follow of seeking after God in the times of our distress.
