Strive to Enter Through the Narrow Gate
Series The Gospel According to Luke
Jesus teaches us by example that when it comes to evangelism, we should not allow ourselves to be sidetracked into sweeping theoretical discussions of doctrine but rather should apply scripture directly to the individual whom we are speaking with.
So rather than speculative discussions of how the exclusivity of the Gospel applies to the theoretical natives of foreign lands, our first task will be to get the inquirer to consider his own salvation. Before you spend time speculating, consider this, you have heard the gospel this very day, what have you done with it? Regardless of who God will come near to in the future and how He will do it, He has come near to you this day, are YOU yet unsaved? Yes the gate is narrow, but the only question that will concern you at the end of your life is have YOU striven to enter in by it?
