Chosen by the Father 3

We are a chosen people--the objects of God's unfailing, eternal love. Jesus said, "Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has chosen gladly to give you the kingdom" (Lk. 12:32). It is the Lord God who has called us from before time began to set His love upon us and call us to this undeserved love. He doesn't do this apart from our will. He moved our will (Jn. 6:44). This does not violate our freedom; it activates it. We are a redeemed humaity with a great purpose. We have been set apart to be presented to the Son as an offering of love from the Father. What an honor. What great purpose!
