Submission in the Home

Peter applies to the home the principles he has already given in the first two chapters concerning Christian identity and submission to human authorities. Peter directs wives to win over their husbands even when they are disobedient to the word by their submissive, chaste, respectful, gentle and quiet spirit. Putting what is good for the husband over the wife's own desires is contrary to the feminist philosophy that pervades Western societies, but God's ways continue to be what is best for both husband and wife.
