l. He Delivered Righteous Lot (vv. 7-8)
A. Lot was righteous? The way the Lord judges.
B. Lot vexed by Sodom's unnatural debauchery.
C. Lot's proximity to Sodom did not diminish his horror.
D. Lot saw and heard Sodom's wickedness daily.

ll. He Delivers the Godly Out of Their Trials (v. 9)
A. He knows - His wisdom, His power, His way.
B. He delivers the godly - strong call to righteous living.

lll. He Reserves the Unrighteous for Judgement (vv. 9-10)
A. Be patient: the wicked kept for final judgement.
B. Remain shocked: the wicked marked by lawless deeds.
C. See clearly: the wicked follow after flesh in unclean lusts.
D. Trust God: He saves the righteous and judges the wicked.
