When God Doesn't Like You...

57

When God doesn't like you... He doesn't like anything you do! (When "you're good" goes bad...)

Principles gleaned from, The Saul Syndrome (Pre-Revival Conference Material), and shared with the men's bible study class at Briggs Chapel

The Cain Factor

When anyone is more concerned about being noticed for what they're doing, or seen for what they're not doing, they're not following the one they claim to trust... because their desire to be trusted by Jesus supersedes their personal need to put their trust in Jesus.

Don't confuse the two... wanting trust from and placing trust in are two totally different aspect. One is a work of the flesh the other the work of faith. One will keep you in bondage to the performance factor, with one disappointment after another and the other will free and propel you to follow hard after Christ.

One says approval from Him is worth more than His trustworthiness. Therefore, it focuses on doing something to gain someone's approval but fails to trust and applaud the one it seeks approval from.

A faith that longs to be noticed fails to notice and trust the one that is greater because they're placing faith in their own faith and not in Jesus.

So...

WANTING to trust God and TRUSTING Him are not the same... one says my trust is worth more than Him, and because it is I can't put my trustworthiness in someone or something that it not as trustworthy as myself. But simply trusting God says He's worth way more than my trust.

One says approval from Him, for my trustworthiness, is worth more to me than His trustworthiness.

A faith that longs to be noticed by God fails to notice and actually trust God, the one who is greater.
