Handling Disappointments

Modern day Christianity often has unrealistic expectations about faith and life. Since Christ made us a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation and a peculiar people we interpret that to mean we will be insulated from suffering, illness, and other difficulties.
The truth is: tribulations will cross our path just as it crosses the path of the unredeemed. When we misunderstand the true nature of suffering, it can bring with it disappointment and discouragement. Christians with a wrong worldview can become disappointed over illness, death, children, finances, friends, spiritual leadership and much more.
